Summer's lazy days come with its advantages: hot weather, gorgeous sun, tan skin; but those sunny rays aren't all fun and play. The damage that the sun has on your hair is evident; making hair dry, brittle, and lackluster - yuck. During the year, I like to experiment with my hair -- curling it, straightening it, and adding countless new hair products whenever I feel like it. Towards the end of the school year, my hair tends to look rather dull. Since my hair is thin and stick straight, I always struggle with finding the perfect shampoo to liven it up a bit. Fortunately, my search for the perfect product is finally complete! John Frieda's Root Awakening Strength Restoring Shampoo is my summer essential this year. After just one use, my hair completely transformed! It's shiny, super soft, and it looks a whole lot healthier. I haven't tried out the other products in the line yet, but I suggest you try it out! Since my hair tends to break easily, I use the one for breakage - prone hair. Check it out here. And another thing -- if your hair is anything like mine, the more product you add to it the greasier it looks. A great way to eliminate damage is to use a clarifying shampoo, like Ion's Clarifying Shampoo. This will eliminate all the buildup in your hair, and is gentle so it will deeply cleans your scalp as well. I use this once in a while when my hair looks dull and oily. It works like a charm!
